Our indoor aquatics area features a 10 metre pool, heated to 32 degrees. The pool is available for a range of activities including aqua exercise classes, swimming lessons and water safety instruction.
Indoor Pool Classes
Water Walking – These sessions are predominantly for people who have their own exercise program from a physiotherapist or specialist, or for those who just wish to walk through the warm water.
Tethered Swimming – Swimmers wear a belt around their waist which is then attached to the side of the pool. This allows them to swim against their own resistance in the comfort of the indoor pool.
Aqua Fit – This session uses aerobics movements but as it is in water, there is less impact on joints which means participants can a get a great workout with a much lower injury risk. You can work as hard or as easy as you like.
Splish Splash – A 45 minute session for parents and children to have fun and familiarise children with the water.
Recovery – This is a great way to relax and soothe those sore muscles from playing sport or intense activities on the weekends. Come and stretch, walk around and work those muscles back to their normal state in our hydrotherapy pool.

Outdoor Pool Facilities
The outdoor pool includes a 25m 7-lane solar heated pool with ramp access and beach entry. YMCA Swimming Lessons expands its intake to include lessons in the outdoor pool facilities throughout the season.
The outdoor pool facilities are seasonal and open on November 3rd - until April 1st.
